On April 30. 2007, Pinnacle Airlines Corp announced that it has entered into a new capacity purchase agreement with Delta Air Lines to operate 16 CRJ-900 aircraft as a Delta Connection carrier. Pinnacle currently expects that the aircraft will be operated by its wholly owned regional jet subsidiary, Pinnacle Airlines, Inc.

Pinnacle Airlines Corp. purchased Colgan Air, Inc. on January 4, 2007. Colgan Air, Inc. was founded in 1991 and is headquarted in historic Manassas, Virginia. Colgan Air, Inc. operates 39 Saab 340 and 11 Beech 1900 regional airliners and operates over 350 daily flights. The carrier is affiliated with three major airlines and operates as Continental Connection, United Express and US Airways Express. Colgan employs over 1,100 People.
