Research Triangle Institute
RTI International, the not-for-profit enterprise conducts research in such areas as advanced technologies, environmental resources, and medicine. Research Triangle Institute provides such services as certification, and materials testing, as well as software used in laboratories and research projects. Primarily serving the federal government, RTI International offers analytical perspectives on public policy and has more than 2,800 researchers working in offices around the world. Duke University, North Carolina State University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill established RTI in 1958.
