Children's Health Fund
The Children's Health Fund offers health care to homeless and other children in need in rural and urban communities throughout the US. Children's Health Fund also serves as an advocate for children's medical programs and an educator for health professionals. Children's Health Fund supports a network of medical programs and affiliates in about 15 states and Washington, DC, and operates some 40 mobile clinics in poor urban and rural areas. Other programs provide mental treatment, nutrition education, dental care, and developmental screening. Singer and songwriter Paul Simon and doctor Irwin Redlener founded the Children's Health Fund in 1987.
