GulfMark Offshore, Inc., together with its subsidiaries, provides offshore marine services primarily to companies involved in the offshore exploration and production of oil and natural gas. GulfMark Offshore, Inc. fleet includes anchor handling, towing, and support vessels; platform support vessels; fast supply or crew vessels; specialty vessels; standby rescue vessels; construction support vessels; and utility vessels. GulfMark Offshore, Inc. vessels provide services that support the construction, positioning, and ongoing operation of offshore oil and natural gas drilling rigs and platforms, and related infrastructure. GulfMark Offshore, Inc. vessels also transport materials, supplies, and personnel to offshore facilities, and to move and position drilling structures. The company also provides management services to other vessel owners. As of December 31, 2009, GulfMark Offshore, Inc. operated a fleet of 88 offshore support vessels comprising 38 vessels in the North Sea, 13 vessels offshore Southeast Asia, and 37 vessels offshore in the Americas. GulfMark Offshore, Inc. serves integrated oil and natural gas companies, and independent oil and natural gas exploration and production companies working in international markets; and foreign government-owned or controlled oil and natural gas companies, as well as companies that provide logistics, construction, and other services to oil and natural gas companies and foreign government organizations. GulfMark Offshore, Inc. was founded in 1996 and is based in Houston, Texas.
