Southern Vectis PLC
Southern Vectis provides busing services on the Isle of Wight and in Southampton and South Hampshire. Southern Vectis company also offers consulting services and leases space at bus stations to other busing companies. It additionally provides commercial engineering services for vehicles that carry heavy goods. Southern Vectis company traces its roots to The Southern Vectis Omnibus Co., which was created in 1929 through the merger of Southern Railway and Vectis Bus Company. Southern Vectis Omnibus became Southern Vectis when it was acquired by its management in 1986. The Go-Ahead Group acquired Southern Vectis in June 2005.
