Allegheny College
Allegheny College, co-educational liberal arts school was founded in 1815 with a class of just four students. Today, approximately 2,100 enrolled students can pursue Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in more than 50 academic programs; the college requires students to declare both a major and minor. Departments with the most graduates include biology, chemistry, neuroscience, English, political science, and psychology. About half of Allegheny's students go on to pursue graduate degrees.
