Petroceltic International plc
Petroceltic is an independent upstream oil and gas exploration and production company with headquarters in Dublin, Ireland. Petroceltic International plc explores for and produces oil and gas in North Africa, the Mediterranean, and offshore Ireland. In Ireland, Petroceltic has interests in the Kinsale and Ballycotton gas fields and nearby areas. In North Africa, it has operations in southern Tunisia and in Algeria. In southern Tunisia, its focus of activity is in the Ksar Hadada region. Petroceltic also operates offshore Italy in the Adriatic Sea, as well as onshore in a developmental area. Formerly a miner called Ennex International, Petroceltic International plc changed its name and business in 2003. In 2008, Spanish utility Iberdrola paid $55 million for a 22% stake in Petroceltic.
