After partial success of Unicorn and not so shining performance by the Shine, HMSI was desperate to bring forth a product that would combine looks, performance and efficiency to optimum. As a result Honda launched a motorcycle that magnificently justifies its name, the all new 125 CC Honda Stunner CBF.
Stunner surely is the sportiest looking bike in its class. The integrated fairing at the front, the two tone paint job, stylish yet sober stickering, all add up to the sporty claims of the stunner. Powered by a 125 cc engine, the bike produces a healthy 11 bhp at 8000 rpm. Breaking the 60 kmph barrier in just 5.2 seconds, its performance makes it highly competitive product in the Indian Market. Honda still pursuing with the twin shock formula, has provided stunner with box section swingarm, tubeless tyres and good ground clearance for better ride quality and handling. Overall, Honda CBF Stunner is soothing to the eyes and a pleasure to ride in Indian conditions.
The 125cc motor now incorporates a 5-speed transmission with a one down - four up shift pattern. The new gearbox significantly smoothens out the power delivery on the Stunner as compared to the Shine. The shifts are slick and precise while the gearing is well-suited for daily commutes as well as weekend rides. The engine produces 11PS of power at 8000rpm and a torque output of 11Nm is available from 6500rpm. The bike does 0-60km/h in 6.1 seconds and goes on to record a top speed of 100.03km/h.The braking is spot on with progressive feel coming from the front brake lever to the rider. There is a 240mm dia disc for the front and a 130mm dia drum on the rear that takes care of retardation.
Fuel economy is up to the mark in comparison to its rivals and under mixed riding environments, the CBF Stunner will run for 68 kilometres on one litre of petrol. Now that's not bad at all for a bike that feels like a 150cc motorcycle, has the style to 'stun' every on-looker and does 100km/h. The top-of-the-line model with disc brake and electric start will lighten your wallet by Rs 53,390 ex-showroom.
The CBF Stunner comes with three options of "Kick Start-Drum-Alloy", "Self Start-Drum-Alloy" and "Self Start-Disc-Alloy".
While the Self Drum Alloy and Self Disc Alloy versions will be available in four colours; Sports Red, Pearls Sports Yellow, Space Silver Metallic and Black, the Kick Drum Alloy model will come in Sports Red and Black. Targeted at young customers, the new bike takes some of its cues from the muscular and speedy CBR1000 from the Honda stable. It features an integrated front body cowl which lingers onto the back . That, along with a raised rear gives the bike a definitive sporty look.
