Indian Silk Export Promotion Council
The Indian Silk Export Promotion Council (ISEPC ) was established by the Government of India on 17th June 1983 with the prime object of promoting and regulating the export of natural silk goods and to promote India's image as a reliable supplier of high quality silk goods like fabrics, made-ups, readymade garments and machine made carpets. The Council is sponsored by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. For the purpose of keeping abreast of the various developments in the silk trade, both International and domestic, the council publishes a bulletin called the SILKNET which is distributed free of costs to its member. The magazine covers country profiles, fashion forecast trends, statistics, Govt. circulars, etc.,
