Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures (DBCIC)
Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures (DBCIC) is a unique venture of the Salesians of Don Bosco in North East India to develop expert facilities for the preservation and promotion of numerous beautiful and diverse indigenous cultures of the region, of India in particular and in communion with indigenous cultures anywhere in the world. Exhibition of Cultural Artifacts: The Don Bosco Museum of Indigenous Cultures' exhibition of cultural artifacts thematically arranged from floor to floor in the different galleries along with excellent paintings depicting various aspects of the cultures of North East India forms the first and most visible aspect of DBCIC. Study and Research: DBCIC organizes study and research on themes connected with the indigenous cultures of North East India. The presence of a very large library adjacent to DBCIC (the Otto Hopfenmueller Library) with specialized volumes on the North East and adequate facilities to render study and research satisfying.
