I think SEBI has to announce the plan of action as soon as possible. So many small investors are eagerly waiting for the response from SEBI on the status of their investments in Sahara companies. They need to know how soon they can get the money back. Here is a news article on Wall Street Journal Blog relating to this issue. Sahara has collected lot of money from very poor families. Politicians, Celebrities and Media should come forward and condemn the business practices of Sahara.

Based on the recent Supreme Court order relating to two Sahara firms Sahara India Real Estate Corporation (SIREC) and Sahara Housing Investment Corporation (SHIC), I was doing search for these companies on Internet and for my surprise there is very little information on these entities. They have raised 24,000 crores from the 29 million Indian people. Supreme Court and SEBI recognized the fund raising as illegal and Supreme Court ordered to refund all the depositors money through SEBI in August ruling and even after 6 months there is not clear action from SEBI. I was surprised to see no reaction from either public, politicians or media on this issue. This clearly reflects that "Sahara is too big for Trial" involving very complex situation. I searched all of the Sahara India Pariwar (sahara.in) website and couldn't able to find any reference to either SIREC or SHIC. Sahara is not even talking about this issue.
