Mabuchi Motor company is one of the world's largest manufacturers of small electric motors, parts, and equipment. Mabuchi's motors are used in audiovisual equipment and in automotive, home appliance, office, and precision equipment applications such as power windows, electric shavers and toothbrushes, copy machines, cameras, and CD-ROM video games. Major clients include Delphi Holdings, Procter & Gamble, and Samsung Electronics. Mabuchi makes its motors and motor parts in Asian countries outside Japan, where production costs are lower. About two-thirds of sales are in Asia, particularly in China and Hong Kong.
