The Company was incorporated on 19th June, 1991 as Royal Manor Hotels Limited in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The name of the company was subsequently changed to Royale Manor Hotels and Industries Limited on 1st November, 1991. The company’s first five star hotel project started operations in October 1995 in Ahmedabad. In the year 2000, the Company entered into a “Hotel Operating Agreement” with The Indian Hotels Company Limited (Taj Group) for managing operations for its unit for a period of 20 years and was named as "Taj Residency Ummed" Ahmedabad and in June-2009, it was rebranded as “ The Gateway Hotel Ummed” Ahmedabad by the Taj Group of Hotels as a part of IHCL’s holistic rebranding exercise. |
