Subsequently, the name of the Company was changed to Jai Mata Glass Ltd. (JMGL/ the company).The company set up in 1986 a plant to manufacture Pattern glass with an annual installed capacity of 2.6 million square meters (on 3mm Thickness basis) (called Unit-I) at Village Tipra, Barotiwala, Himachal Pradesh – 174 103.The Unit-I commenced commercial production on December 1, 1986. In the year 1992, the annual installed capacity of the Company's manufacturing facilities was increased to 5.2 million square meters (on 3mm thickness basis) with the setting of new plant (called Unit II).In the year 1998, the annual installed capacity was increased to 6.2 million square meters (on 3 mm thickness basis) by de-bottlenecking and installation of balancing equipments in Unit-I.In the year 2007, the annual installed capacity was increased to 8.77 million square meters (on 3 mm thickness basis) by installing a new furnace in Unit-I, the capacity of Unit-I increased from 3.6 million square meters to 6.17 million square.
