The double engagement type curved tooth flexible gear couplings consists of two geared hubs, two outer flange geared sleeves, a set of bolts, grease nipples and O-rings. The external teeth of the hubs engage with the internal teeth of sleeves and flanges of two sleeves are bolted together thus making the unit a complete coupling. The geared hubs are made out of forged steel and flange geared sleeves are made out of forged steel or graded fast steel depending on the size and requirements. Sleeves and hubs are heat treated to hardness of 240 to 280 BHN to provide wear-resistance properties for longer life of the couplings. The gear couplings are also available another type as per customer requirements basis, such as half rigid half flexible, spacer, mill motor and brake drum.
