Between 1964-84, the company completed several factories, most of them from land development to commissioning of complete structures. The company does not undertake this activity currently.
In 1984, in association with Mr. R.N. Kastury - a leading electric consultant - we began manufacturing ROHINI brand single phase AC induction motors under the name of Shanco Industries in our workshop at Andheri, Mumbai. In 1993-94 we jointly developed a range of indigenous ROHINI brand fractional rating permanent magnet DC motors conforming to IEC/NEMA/BIS standards. We have since expanded even further and indigenously developed a complete range of single and three phase flameproof electric motors duly licensed by CMRI, CCOE and BIS for gas groups IIA and IIB. With an emphasis on quality and cost effectiveness, the laminations and electrical parameters are designed with latest CAD software available. Our thrust on quality has ensured a satisfied, technically conscious, customer base. To enable a better growth for this business we sold off Shanco Industries in 13-14 & it is now not a part of our group any more.In 2000, Shanbhag and Associates was officially appointed to represent Lutz Pumpen GmbH and Co. KG, Germany, as their sole, national distributor for their complete range of products in India. Lutz has a wide variety of pumps with a range of drum pumps, air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pumps, flowmeters, vertical submerged pumps and magnetic drive centrifugal pumps with many useful variations.
