Swasti Vinayaka Synthetics Ltd was incorporated as a private limited company on 9th march 1981 by the name of Rajesh Synthetics Ltd. on 8th july 1985. The name was changed to Swasti Vinayaka Synthetics Ltd on 10th sep 1999. Till 1985, the company was mainly engaged in the marketing of suiting, shirting, sarees and dress materials. The company set up its first plant in 1985 at Tarapur to manufacture suiting an shirting. Since 1985 it changed its focus from trading to manufacturing activities.

Till 1989, SVSL was part of the Siyaram Group. Progressively, it went on to build its own brand "Vinayaka". Under a scheme of amalgamation approved in 1990-91 by the high court of Bombay, two textile manufacturing companies viz. M/s. Shree Ganesh Fabrics Ltd with its weaving unit at Bhiwandi and Ranisati Syntex with its weaving unit at Phalghar merged with the company from 1.4.90.

Products/Services:
1. Ready Mades:
The readymades are also sold through own retailed outlets. The company has so far established mill showrooms at Lower Parel, two showrooms at Andheri, Malad and Boiser. The budget garments are marketed under the umbrella brand "Vinayaka" while the higher end products are marketed under the brand name "Vinz"

2. Fancy Fabrics:
The company also engages in the sale of fancy double yarn. The fancy fabrics requires certain yarns which are not supplied by the spinners or texturises. The advantages in marketing of these fabrics is that of value addition and is extensively used in shirting fabrics among others.
