HMT Machine Tools offers 6-axes CNC turning centers (MCELL-200) with space saving modular design that facilitate to shape the turning centers as per customer’s requirements. Integral hardened and ground rectangular guide ways and short main spindle ensure rigidity. Sub-spindle for second side operations and provision for 7th axis on sub-spindle is provided. Other features include: contour milling with X, Z, and C-axis; spindle speed by direct rpm and CSS programming; automatic job transfer on the fly from left to right spindle chuck; simultaneous turning of first and second side operations; completer machining (milling, drilling and tapping) in a single setup for better surface finish and accuracies; high performance AC variable speed drive for spindle and AC servo drives for axes. 12-station tool turret; state-of-the-art SINUMERIK 840D CNC system; and excellent access to work area for changing tools and clamping devices. Technical specification include: maximum job diameter (turning) 240 mm; distance between chucks (without jaws) 1150 m; spindle speed range/power 35-3500/15 rpm/kW; sub-spindle speed range/power 35-4000/11 rpm/kW; rapid traverse rate (Z3) 10 m/min; cross feed (X1/X2) rapid traverse rate 15 m/min; longitudinal (Z1/Z2) rapid traverse rate 15 m/min; and CNC system Sinumerik 840D.
