The Tektronix Foundation has provided charitable support to the community since 1952. It is a private foundation funded each year with a portion of the Company's profit. It is not an "endowed" foundation, which means it has no capital fund that produces investment earnings to fund contributions. The Tektronix Board of Directors determines the annual funding level. The primary goals of the Foundation are to support education, social and human services, the arts, and conservation. The Foundation has been a long-time supporter of the United Way, Saturday Academy, Start Making A Reader Today, Oregon Museum of Science and Industry and SOLV, to name a few.
