TTL Technologies started in 1982 as a small import trading activity within APLAB Ltd., India's foremost professional electronics manufacturing company based at Thane, an industrial suburb outside Mumbai. Nicolet Instruments from the USA, Linseis from Germany and connector manufacturers like Lemo from Switzerland. The products from these foreign manufacturers were well accepted by Indian customers. In order to focus better on the distribution and support of these principals, a separate company was formed in 1982, Technical Trade Links. It soon came to be well known in the market by the brand name TTL. TTL soon expanded its reach over the decade, adding new offices at New Delhi, Calcutta and Bangalore. Several other principals were added to the Test and Measurement Instruments (TMI ) Division, Voltech from U.K., Gigatronics from U.S.A. and Datron Instruments ( now part of Fluke Corporation ) from U.K. |
