The Eastern region leader and also the top rated HR school of the country, XLRI has been continuously growing at its own pace without compromising on the pioneering vision of its founders more than 60 years earlier. The school has invested strategically on e-learning besides enhancing the classroom experience by infusion of state-ofthe- art technology in every sphere of activity. Besides intellectual capital by way of faculty, performance, quality, pedagogy, curriculum updatement process, conferencing etc., have also been high on the agenda of the school. The school's proximity to the HR leadership had the reciprocal advantage of constantly improving the curriculum being taught and also helping the school to impact heavily through its HR research activities on the human resource management of the country. The heavyweight alumni network of the XLRI has been managing this two-way process of learning and teaching at their alma mater with a considerable degree of success. The recent global forays by the Indian industry had an implicit partner in XLRI as the cross cultural issues involved in global mergers and acquisitions are a matter of long term research at the campus. The fallout of the mergers are also closely studied as live projects here and cases are developed on that basis.
