The globalisation of the Indian economy and the policy of liberalisation have resulted in very high demand for professionally competent personnel which can only be met through professional education, research and training. This is the awareness on which the Prestige Institute has launched its B-school. The Prestige Institute of Management and Research is conceived as a unique growth oriented institute of management education and training. The Institute was launched with the solemn objective of catering to the educational and training needs of students, nonresident Indians, foreigners residing in India, defence personnel and executives from industry and government. The uniqueness of the Institute lies in its provision for an elaborate spectrum of professional programmes under one roof, on-the-job training, semester university examination, emphasis on qualitative education/training the building of cultural values and development of dynamic personalities. The Institute had made a beginning by introducing MBA programmes, and an undergraduate programme in management discipline in the very first year. Under an ambitious plan to increase the number of programs to cover the diverse areas of professional education, the institute has also started programmes like Master of International Business, Bachelor of Computer Applications and Master of Foreign Trade (Integrated). Besides this, the Institute is a recognised research centre for the PhD program. Thus, it aims at becoming one of the best self reliant private education and training entres in the country. The Institute is working on the principle of self-financing. The Institute has AICTE approval, tie-up with Devi Ahilya University and accreditation by NBA. The PIMR campus with contemporary interiors is located in a prominent area of Indore adjacent to the Agra- Bombay National Highway. |
