This two decade old institute of the state government of Uttar Pradesh runs a two year MBA progamme approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India and is affiliated to the U.P. Technical University. This programme has been envisaged with a view to expand the range of the Institute's activities to cater to the growing demand of professionally trained young managers resulting from the liberalization and globalization of India's economy. The basic strategy of the Institute is to ensure that all the three activities viz. training, consultancy and management education should provide synergistic development impetus to each other. The MBA Programme is designed to develop professional managers who can shoulder varied responsibilities in organizations in different sectors of the economy by facing risks and uncertainty and harmonize individual and group efforts. The emphasis is on self-learning and to promote an inquisitive and analytical mind. The role of the Institute is to stimulate the students through a balance of pedagogic approaches. The programme is designed in an integrated manner, emphasizing synthesis, symbiosis and synergy among its components. The internalisation of knowledge rather than its mere acquisition, is emphasized. Balanced importance is given to classroom teaching, non-classroom learning and internship for the development of the right attitude, skills and knowledge. The school has strong networking with industry owing to its long years of existence and also based on its track record. The school's placement effort has also been good and n recent years the value of placements had also gone up substantially. The school has adequate number of faculty and the school is exposing them to a wide range of management development programmes. |
