Indian economic growth at a massive 9 per cent plus requires a highly skilled workforce to sustain it over a period, which can come only from institutions with a strong background and a commitment to providing quality. The Balaji Society Pune in less than a decade of its existence has developed just such institutions of quality and intrinsic strength and ICMHRD has a pride of place in the Society's stable. ICMHRD students are put through a schedule that strikes a perfect balance between academic inputs and workshops conducted by veterans from the corporate world, which gives them exposure to the latest developments in the industry. The rigorous schedule ensures that the students emerge as the very best in all trades of the business. The students of ICMHRD have developed and commissioned software which enables every student of ICMHRD easy access to a plethora of knowledge by the faculty of fellow students. The initiative is called a Knowledge Bank and it also serves as an e-library. Located in a sprawling campus with all the modern amenities for the holistic development of the students, ICMHRD has been able to offer a diverse range of courses keeping in view the need for incorporating modern technology awareness in each of them. The faculty is drawn from a diverse range of industry which gives practical exposure to the students and also an insight into the psychology of business leadership well before they take-up responsible positions in industry. Pedagogy also includes practical exposure with the students being encouraged to do projects and also make these available as power point presentations for peer review in the class. Competition is intense while at the classroom which also helps hone their skills as managers anchored in the realities of life and its challenges. |
