The Ambedkar Institute of Management Studies is sponsored by Dr.Ambedkar People’s Educational Trust, Hyderabad. The Institute was established in the year 1995, with the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India to offer two-year full time Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM). With over 19 eventful years of its existence, AIMS has the pride and distinction of securing good ranking in All India B-School Surveys. AIMS is an autonomous Institute of higher education in Management with national, international and secular character and aims to impart quality education among all sections of society. In addition to classroom teaching students are given practical training in corporate and honed up their skills in management. Ample opportunities are provided to the faculty to update their skills and knowledge and also carry out research on emerging topics in the areas of management, commerce, economics and other social sciences. The Institute has been able to leverage from its location at Visakhapatnam - a fast growing city and industrial hub with ever increasing industrial and commercial activity on the east coast of India. Since its establishment the Institute has been able to meet the educational needs of students of Orissa, West Bengal, Assam, Tripura, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar apart from Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Of late the Institute has been able to stretch its wings to states like U.P, Haryana, Gujarat, Kerala, Jharkhand and Chattisgarh. In a short span, the Institute could make rapid strides in earning national level recognition by imparting quality education which is well manifested in its ranking at national level and in respect of 100 percent placement achieved in successive years. |
