Felix Fernandez had a passion for growing roses. He relaxed while pruning and tending his
rose plants. Such was his love for roses, Felix created perfect roses which bagged several
awards at the Bombay Rose Society Shows. Fernandez is the man behind the creation of the
Gladiator - that vibrant red rose that is the main stay of the flower market and also loved
by the masses. The bigger prize however was the love for gardens in his son Mr. Mario
Fernandez. After graduating from the Horticultural College in Pune in 1976, Mario started
off in a small way. Ferns Garden Services was started in 1978. Not restricted to roses only,
he moved on to foliage plants & maintenance of gardens and then went on to his first love -
landscaping from concept to completion. Mario soon began developing factory gardens. |
