Thermally-Stabilised, Low-Density Ammonium Nitrate prills (LDAN) for the expanding Mining
Industry in the country, VBC Industries Limited, Visakhapatnam, of the VBC Group of Companies,
set up a plant for manufacture of 80 tpd of LDAN prills near Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh with
the STATE OF ART TECHNOLOGY from NORS K-HYDRO of Norway and UHDE GMBH of Germany. The plant also
has installed a Nitric Acid Plant of capacity of 135 liters of Nitric Acid(60% Conc.). Nitric
Acid is primarily meant for captive consumption in Ammonium Nitrate Plant.However, surplus of 30
tpd is available for sale. The company is having a deep sea traveling fleet.On shore marine food proceesing-cum -cold
storage complex at Vizag.The Company is also having stevedoring, Customs House Clearing and
Forwarding Operations in 1990. The Company is presently establishing a Hatchery with 40 Million
PL - 20 at Vishakapatnam to cater to the needs of its farmers whom the Company feels are its
strength. Keeping in view the increasing demand for Marine Products and the opportunities available in the
Country for Shrimp Culture,the Company acquired 120 hectares of Brackish Water land from
Government of Andhra Pradesh for Shrimp Culture .Now exporting Prawns to Japan, USA, UK and South
Asian Countries. |
