Shri KVK Raju founded the Nagarjuna Group in 1973 with an investment of INR 50 Million. He was a Technocrat, with a Masters degree in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from Michigan State University and the University of Minnesota, USA. He worked with multinationals including Union Carbide before starting his own venture. He started the Nagarjuna Group with the mission of “serving society through industry”. His major contribution has been the setting up of the largest gas based fertilizer company, NFCL, in South India. Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chemicals (NFCL), Nagarjuna Oil Refinery (NORL) and Nagarjuna Agrichem (NACL) are part of the Nagarjuna Group. Shri KVK Raju passed away in June 1993. |
