It has recently increased its SAN capacity at Nandesari plant to 65000 TPA from earlier levels of 36000 TRA. The SAN polymer is used for the captive consumption for making ABS and is also sold as the merchant product in open market. The increase in the capacity of SAN has helped Lanxess to increase its ABS capacity from 48000 TPA to 60000 TPA. The company also owns a state-of-the-art R&D centre at its Moxi plant.
