Shrachi Securities Ltd. (SSL), a flagship financial services company of the Shrachi group, was incorporated in the year 1989 by S.K.Todi, & is headquartered in Kolkata. SSL offers a wide set of financial products and services, ranging from light commercial vehicle financing to heavy commercial vehicle financing, & from passenger car financing to construction equipment financing. Apart from individuals, the company also caters to fleet operators. The company operates through 52 branches, covering 12 states - Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Jharkand, Karnataka, Kuala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Tamilnadu, WestBengal, & Delhi. For financing needs, SSL has a consortium of 12 bankers led by Bank of Baroda. SSL is growing remarkably over the years in terms of disbursement, asset base & profits. This fiscal the company has disbursed Rs.540.35 crores as against Rs.302.80 crores in the year 2003-04 & has set 1000 + crores target for 2005-06. In the year 2004-05 Shrachi has reported a growth of 71.37 % as against 21.72% industry growth. The new business mix, effective treasury operations have had its beneficial impact on the company’s profits as well as margins. While operating profit margin improved to 32.9% from 29.1%; net profit improved by 79.2% to Rs 5.4 crore, as compared to the previous year corresponding period. |
