WELCOME to the Port of Visakhapatnam, the Gateway to the East Coast of India. It plays a crucial role as the middle point distribution base for Southern, Eastern, Central and Northern states of India. Described as the ?Brightest Jewel? of all Indian major ports for its outstanding performance and productivity, Visakhapatnam Port serves as a catalyst in spurring domestic and international trade.The Port of Visakhapatnam has constructed and developed 22 berths including the state of art ore berths (2), Off shore oil Tanker Terminal, LPG berth, and Container Terminal. We are also constructing four new multipurpose berths, two of which will be commissioned shortly. We are also going to acquire the latest shore equipment for speedy operations. With the recent grant of international accreditation recognition to us in quality, safety and Environmental management, we are bringing about great changes in improvement of productivity and customer service.
