Will expose demonetization as biggest scam in country's history: Rahul Gandhi

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi slammed PM Narendra Modi again on Friday calling the demonetization the 'biggest scam' of the country.

"Demonetization is the biggest scam in Indian history. I will expose it in the House but the government is not allowing me to speak," said Gandhi. "Since a month we've been trying debate on demonetisation, we want things to become clear now. ," he said

"The PM is speaking across the country but is not willing to come to the Lok Sabha. The government is running from the debate, if they allow me to speak then you will see what an earthquake will come," Gandhi added.

"Since a month we've been trying debate on demonetization, hum chahte hain doodh ka doodh paani ka paani hojaye (we want everything to be made clear)," he said.

Speaking to reporters in Parliament premises on Thursday, he said the Prime Minister's "foolish decision" to demonetize higher currency has "devastated" the country.

He had also criticised PM's promotion of cashless transaction saying, "There is this concept of PayTM. Pay to Modi, that's the idea behind cashless economy. That's few people should get maximum benefit from cash transactions."
