Ratan Tata to Inaugurate India’s Largest Tech Incubator ‘T-Hub’

Tata Sons Chairman Emeritus, Ratan Tata will inaugurate the country’s largest technology incubator center ‘T-Hub’ in Hyderabad on September 7th 2015.

Jayesh Ranjan, Secretary, Information and Communications Technology confirmed in a statement saying, “Our Technology Incubation centre ‘T-Hub’ which is meant to promote start-ups and innovators is going to be inaugurated on September 7 by Rata Tata.”

Adding further on the matter, he said, “The first phase of T-hub, country’s biggest technology incubation centre, spread over 60,000 square feet will accommodate 800 start-ups. And in 2018 when we are hosting World IT Congress in Hyderabad, we want to be ready with the second phase of T-Hub, which would be much more bigger one with built-up space of 300,000 sq ft and can host 5,000 start-ups.”

The Telangana government is taking up the country’s biggest technology incubator with collaborative efforts from the Indian School of Business (ISB), the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-Hyderabad) and NALSAR University of Law besides various other organizations.As ET reports, Ranjan believes that Telengana is soon to become the country’s leading startup hub and the aforementioned institutions would definitely boost the startups, helping them in management, legal aspects of setting up and administering their ventures.
