RCB announces victory parade in Bengaluru after lifting first IPL title in 18 years

The 18-year wait finally ended for Royal Challengers Bengaluru and all of their fans with the Men in Red and Gold lifting their first Indian Premier League trophy after beating Punjab Kings in the final of IPL 2025 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. Rajat Patidar led his team to glory after RCB failed thrice in 2009, 2011 and 2016 before.
But on Tuesday, Virat Kohli, who has been associated with this franchise since its inaugural season in 2008, finally witnessed a special evening that led to the completion of titles in his cabinet.
RCB announced a special victory parade in Bengaluru on Wednesday. In a social media post, RCB wrote, This oneโs for you, 12th Man Army.

The parade will start from Vidhana Soudha at 3:30 PM IST and will continue until it reaches M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, RCBโs home ground.
Kohli, too, looked very excited about visiting Bengaluru after winning the coveted IPL trophy. โItโs going to be something special,โ said Kohli, inviting his former RCB teammates AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle to be part of the celebrations with fans in Bengaluru.
โThe city is waiting. My god. Iโm thinking about them. Imagine what the fans must be feeling now, poor ones. Someone sent me a video โ the entire city is filled with fireworks. The whole city. Itโs very special. I canโt express my feelings. I have to experience it,โ he added.
An emotionally charged Kohli also reflected on his bond with the fans and credited their loyalty as a key reason he stayed back with RCB for 18 years. โI said it straight away โ this is as much for the fans as it is for us. These guys have stuck with RCB through horrible seasons and great ones. Theyโve turned up every single time at the Chinnaswamy. Iโve never seen loyalty like that. Thatโs what made me never waver from RCB. Thatโs why this is so special,โ said Kohli.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Thursday pledged โน10 lakh each to the families of the 11 people who died during a stampede outside Bengaluruโs M Chinnaswamy Stadium during a victory parade celebrating the team's IPL title win.
"The unfortunate incident in Bengaluru yesterday has caused a lot of anguish and pain to the RCB family. As a mark of respect and a gesture of solidarity, RCB has announced a financial support of โน10 lakh to each of the eleven families of the deceased," the franchise said in a post on X.

Apple has brought in Tata Group to handle repairs for iPhones and MacBook devices in its fast-growing Indian market, signalling the Indian conglomerate's deepening role in the US tech giant's supply chain, two people familiar with the matter said.

Walmart's Flipkart has secured a lending licence from the Indian central bank and banking regulator, enabling it to offer loans directly to customers and sellers on its platform, according to documents reviewed by Reuters and a source.
This is the first time the Reserve Bank of India has granted a large e-commerce player in India a non-bank finance company (NBFC) licence, allowing it to lend but not take deposits.
