Gold price unchanged at Rs 61,040; silver declines Rs 300 to Rs 76,200

Gold price remained unchanged in Friday's early trade with 10 grams of the yellow metal (24-carat) trading at Rs 61,040, according to the GoodReturns website. Silver price fell Rs 300 with 1 kg of the precious metal selling at Rs 76,200.
The price of ten grams of 22-carat was also unchanged at Rs 55,950.
The price of ten grams of 24-carat gold in Mumbai is at par with the price of gold in Kolkata and Hyderabad, at Rs 61,040.
The price of ten grams of 24-carat gold in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai is Rs 61,190, Rs 61,100, and Rs 61,530, respectively.
The price of ten grams of 22-carat gold in Mumbai is at par with the price of gold in Kolkata and Hyderabad, at Rs 55,950.
The price of ten grams of 22-carat gold in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai is Rs 56,100, Rs 56,000, and Rs 56,400, respectively.
US gold prices were little changed on Friday, but were headed for a small weekly gain due to a weaker dollar and lingering economic concerns, while investors looked ahead to the Federal Reserve's policy move next week.
Spot gold was little changed at $1,986.71 per ounce by 0042 GMT, but was headed for a 0.2 per cent weekly gain.
US gold futures eased 0.1 per cent to $1,996.20.
The dollar index was largely unchanged on the day, but was set for a weekly fall, making gold less expensive for other currencies holders.
Spot silver fell 0.3 per cent to $24.88 per ounce, while platinum rose 0.3 per cent to $1,079.67 per ounce. Palladium inched 0.1 per cent lower to $1,494.18.
The price of 1 kg of silver in Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad is Rs 80,000.
The price of 1 kg of silver in Delhi and Mumbai is Rs 76,200.

Ahead of today's announcement of the Jharkhand Assembly elections, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Tuesday alleged that the Election Commission is not acting independently and is under pressure from the BJP.
In Ranchi, JMM leader Manoj Pandey expressed his worries, said, "The election is to be announced today, but BJP leaders got information about it yesterday. This is a very serious matter. Does the commission work at the behest of BJP leaders? It is a serious matter to keep the commission as a puppet."

Angel One shares have rallied by up to 9 per cent on the BSE in Tuesday’s intraday trade after the company reported a healthy 44 per cent year-on-year (YoY) jump in its consolidated profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 423.4 crore in September quarter (Q2FY25). Total income of the stock broking and allied services company grew 8 per cent YoY at Rs 1,516 crore during the quarter.
Angle One reported continued healthy performance on the back of strong client acquisition (around 3 million customers in Q2FY25), and an increase in client funding book (approximately 25 per cent sequentially).

Budget carrier SpiceJet on Tuesday said it has successfully settled a $23.39 million dispute with two aircraft lessors -- Aircastle and Wilmington Trust, days after amicably resolving a similar dispute with a US-based aircraft leasing firm, BBAM.
As part of the settlement, all ongoing litigation and disputes between the parties will be withdrawn at appropriate forums, the airline said in a statement.

Garuda Construction IPO listing today: Garuda Construction and Engineering's shares made a subdued debut on the stock exchanges on Tuesday. The company's shares listed at Rs 103.20 on the BSE, reflecting a premium of 8.63 per cent over the IPO issue price of Rs 95. On the NSE, the shares debuted at a premium of 10.52 per cent at Rs 105.

The Resident Doctors' Association (RDA) of AIIMS, New Delhi, on Monday wrote an 'urgent' letter to the President of India, requesting immediate intervention in the ongoing hunger strike by doctors in West Bengal.
The hunger strike was sparked by the brutal rape and murder of a fellow resident doctor, on August 9 at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
