'The Dirty Picture' fame actress Arya Banerjee found dead under mysterious circumstances in Kolkata apartment

Bengali actress Arya Banerjee -- also known as Devdutta -- who has acted in several Bollywood films including critically acclaimed 'The Dirty Picture', passed away on Friday.
The actress was found dead in her apartment Jodhpur Park, South Kolkata, as per news reports.
According to the reports, the body of the 33-year old was covered in blood when the police broke open the door of the actress's third-floor apartment.
It was the star's maid who informed the neighbours that the actress wasn't answering the door or phone calls after repeated attempts when she had gone to work at Arya's residence. Subsequently, the neighbours called the police to investigate.
The maid also revealed that the actress lived in the apartment all by herself.
As per reports, the police broke into Arya's house and found her body on a bed with nose bleeding and vomiting.
Now, the mortal remains of the actress have been sent for post mortem and samples have been collected from the room by the forensics team.
Investigations are underway so as to ascertain the cause of the suspicious death of the actress.
Daughter of late sitarist Nikhil Bandyopadhyay, Arya had acted in several Hindi films such as 'LSD: Love Sex Aur Dhoka' (2010) besides 'The Dirty Picture' (2011). She had reportedly done a few modelling assignments too in Mumbai.
