Larsen & Toubro's hydrocarbon arm get order worth over Rs 7,000 crore in Algeria
L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering, a wholly owned subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro, has won a mega order worth over Rs 7,000 crore from Sonatrach-Algeria, the engineering major said in a statement on Tuesday.
The engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning order is for setting up of to three Central Processing (CPF) facilities in the Adrar province of Algeria.
"The contract has been awarded through international competitive bidding on a lump sum turn key basis. Bagging this order from Sonatrach reflects confidence of oil and gas majors in LTHE’s capabilities to execute mega projects for the oil and gas processing industry globally," the statment said.
Process facilities include separation, compression system, mercury removal, gas dehydration, hydrocarbon dew point control and associated offsite and utilities.The project maximizes modularization, which reduces site construction works and achieves standardization across the fields. All modules will be fabricated in house at Larsen & Toubro’s manufacturing facilities, the company said.
The three units are --Hassi Ba Hamou and Reg Mouaded Field (6 mscmd capacity), Hassi Tidjerane Field (4 mscmd capacity) and Tinerkouk Field (4 mscmd capacity)
