The Indian cricket team's injury woes have worsened with Jasprit Bumrah, their pace spearhead, being ruled out of the Brisbane Test due to an abdominal strain he suffered in the Sydney Test against the Australian cricket team which ended in an epic draw. According to a report in PTI, Jasprit Bumrah sustained the injury during the fourth day of the Sydney Test and scans revealed an abdominal strain. A senior BCCI official told PTI that Jasprit Bumrah suffered an abdominal strain while fielding in Sydney but he is expected to be fit for the England series.

Nepal's Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in an exclusive interview with Zee News Editor-in-Chief Sudhir Chaudhary talked about how it can play the role of a mediator in the India-China conflict that has escalated since the Galwan valley incident in June last year. 20 Indian jawans were martyred in the clash. The Chinese side also suffered casualties, however, it hasn't acknowledged it ever.
Highlighting that both India and China are Nepal's neighbours, PM Oli said that Nepal has nothing to do with the Galwan episode.

On Monday, the Delhi Animal Husbandry Department confirmed that all the samples sent to a laboratory in Bhopal have tested positive for bird flu.

Days after US President Donald Trump's supporters stormed the Capitol, the US House of Representatives Democrats will stage a vote to impeach US President Donald Trump for his role in inciting violence, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi confirmed.

BJP national President JP Nadda would arrive in Assam on Monday on a two-day visit and address a public rally in Silchar to kick-start the ruling party`s campaigning for the coming Assembly elections, party leaders said on Sunday.

The Centre has directed states and union territories across the country to increase surveillance around water bodies, live bird markets, zoos, and poultry farms as well as strengthen biosecurity at poultry farms amid the bird flu scare.
