Pokarna shares, on Thursday, surged 16 per cent and hit an over three-year high of Rs 266.50 in intra-day trade on the BSE after Pokarna Engineered Stone Limited (PESL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, announced the commencement of commercial operations of its second state-of-the-art quartz surface manufacturing facility in the country. The new plant is located at Mekaguda Village in Telangana, India.

Markets regulator Sebi on Wednesday ordered attachment of bank accounts as well as share and mut­ual fund holdings of Rana Kapoor (pictured), former MD and CEO of YES Bank, to recover dues of over Rs 1 crore. The decision has been taken after Kapoor failed to pay the fine imposed on him.

Petrol prices in Delhi have come down by 21 paise and diesel by 20 paise. After this, the price of petrol in Delhi has reached Rs 90.78 per litre and the price of diesel has become Rs 81.1 per litre.

Petrol and diesel prices received a cut for the second day in a row. In the last two days, petrol in Delhi has become cheaper by 39 paise and diesel by 37 paise.

Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) on Wednesday announced that it has signed a share purchase agreement for the acquisition of 100 per cent stake in two special purpose vehicles (SPV) holding 74.94 MW operating solar projects of Sterling & Wilson, a Shapoorji Pallonji group company.
