India’s fourth Covid-19 vaccine is likely to be available next month as sources say Cadila Healthcare’s ZyCoV-D, the world’s first plasmid DNA vaccine, will be launched in December. The launch may pave the way for Covid-19 jabs for adolescents as the vaccine is approved for use in children aged 12 years and above.

The company did not wish to comment. Cadila Healthcare (Zydus Cadila) had said in the first week of November it had received an order to supply 10 million doses of ZyCoV-D to the Centre.

Tarsons Products (TPL) made a decent stock market debut on the bourses as the stock listed at Rs 700, a 6 per cent premium to issue price of Rs 662 on the BSE on Friday. On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the stock opened at Rs 682, a 3 per cent higher against its issue price.

Oil prices slid more than 1% on Friday on concerns that a global supply surplus could swell in the first quarter following a coordinated release of crude reserves among major consumers, led by the United States.

Diversified entity ITC on Thursday confirmed that it is developing a nasal spray for COVID-19 prevention for which it has initiated clinical trials.

Developed by scientists at ITC Life Sciences and Technology Centre (LSTC), Bengaluru, the company plans to market the nasal spray under the Savlon brand once it gets all the requisite regulatory approvals, according to sources.
