Tata Sons expects reprieve from IPO deadline amid RBI rule review

Tata Sons Pvt., the closely-held holding company of India’s salt-to-software conglomerate, is not making any preparations for a near-term share sale as it believes the country’s regulators will extend a deadline to take itself public, said people familiar with the matter.

Following engagement with officials, the company’s leaders expect it will receive official communication from the Reserve Bank of India granting extension for an initial share sale amid a nationwide review of rules governing entities that are not public-facing and do not require public funds, said the people, who asked not to be named discussing information that’s sensitive.

JSW Energy on Thursday said its step-down subsidiary JSW Renew Energy Forty Five has inked a power purchase agreement with Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) for a grid connected 100 MW Solar Project.

The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) has been signed for a tenure of 25 years at a tariff of Rs 4.31 per kWh.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday said that it has filed a case under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (Fema) against Myntra Designs Private Limited, a company backed by Flipkart, along with its associated firms and directors. The case involves alleged violations related to foreign direct investment (FDI) worth over ₹1,654 crore.

According to the agency, the case was filed under Section 16(3) of Fema after it received "credible information" that Myntra and its related companies were involved in multi-brand retail trade, but disguised it as "wholesale cash and carry" business.
