Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk has intensified his criticism of US President Donald Trump's legislative agenda, describing a major spending bill as a "disgusting abomination" in a series of posts on the social media platform X.
The tech billionaire, who recently departed his role overseeing government efficiency reforms, condemned the House-passed legislation on Tuesday, writing: "This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong."

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has approached the Jharkhand High Court to challenge a non-bailable warrant issued against him by the MP-MLA Special Court in Chaibasa, Bar and Bench reported. The warrant pertains to his remarks against Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
As reported by The Hindu, this is the second such warrant issued by the Chaibasa court, which has directed Gandhi to appear before it on June 26.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has signed a new seven-year agreement with British airline Virgin Atlantic, building on a partnership that has lasted over 20 years. The renewed collaboration aims to support Virgin Atlantic’s digital transformation, with a focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud-based technologies, the tech giant said in an exchange filing on Tuesday.
As part of the agreement, TCS will help modernise the airline’s core technology systems, using AI and cloud platforms to improve agility, resilience, and scalability.

India reported five deaths due to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, with active caseload rising to 4,026 as of Tuesday, June 3, up from 3,961 reported the previous day. This marks an increase of 65 new cases within a 24-hour span.
Since May 22, the number of active cases has surged from 257 to over 4,000, with Kerala continuing to be the most affected state, followed by Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Delhi, the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare showed.

The Allahabad High Court has dismissed Patanjali Ayurved Limited's petition challenging ₹273.50-crore goods and service tax (GST) penalty.
A division bench comprising Justices Shekhar B Saraf and Justice Vipin Chandra Dixit rejected Patanjali's argument that such penalties constitute criminal liability and can be imposed only after a criminal trial.

Several northeastern states are grappling with severe floods and landslides following days of relentless rainfall. As of Monday, the death toll has climbed to 36, with over 550,000 people affected across the region. Assam remains the worst hit, reporting 11 deaths, followed by Arunachal Pradesh with 10 fatalities. Meghalaya recorded six deaths, Mizoram five, Sikkim three, and Tripura one.

Foreign investors are starting to head back into Indian stocks after a major exodus, attracted by $5.5 billion worth of big ticket block trades in May and lifting hopes of a revival in the nation's equities market.
The block trades were well bought by overseas investors, according to bankers. They marked the highest monthly total in almost a year and a huge jump from only $220 million in April.

India’s active Covid-19 caseload has surged to 3,961, with 203 new infections and four deaths reported in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Welfare's (MoHFW's) latest update on Monday at 8.00 am.
