INEOS Styrolution dips 16%, hits 52-wk low as promoter lowers stake via OFS

Shares of INEOS Styrolution India tanked 16 per cent to hit a 52-week low of Rs 907 on the BSE in Tuesday’s intra-day trade as the promoter today launched an offer for sale (OFS) to offload up to a 14.4 per cent stake in the company. The company fixed the offer price at Rs 800 per share.

At 10:51 am; the stock was down 15 per cent at Rs 918, as compared to 0.03 per cent decline in the S&P BSE Sensex. It had hit a 52-week high of Rs 1,887 on October 18, 2021.

Shares of sugar companies rallied up to 9 per cent on the BSE in Tuesday’s intra-day trade in an otherwise subdued market. The sweet rally is backed by expectation of strong operational performance, favourable mix of ethanol towards B-heavy/juice (feedstock), and higher sugar realizations.

Shares of Mawana Sugars, Dhampur Sugar Mills, Triveni Engineering & Industries, Balrampur Chini Mills, Dalmia Bharat Sugar and Industries and Dwarikesh Sugar Industries were up between 3 per cent and 9 per cent on the BSE.

The global coronavirus caseload has topped 504.9 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 6.19 million and vaccinations to over 11.18 billion, according to Johns Hopkins University.

In its latest update on Tuesday morning, the University's Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) revealed that the current global caseload and the death toll stood at 504,990,510 and 6,199,732 respectively, while the total number of vaccine doses administered increased to 11,181,442,274.

Shares of AU Small Finance Bank hit a record high of Rs 1,441, gaining 4 per cent on the BSE in Tuesday’s intra-day in an otherwise subdued market after the private sector lender said the bank’s board will meet next week to consider bonus issue proposal. The stock surpassed its previous high of Rs 1,428 touched on April 13, 2022.

“A meeting of the board of directors of the Bank will be held on Monday, 25 th April, 2022 and will continue on Tuesday, 26th April, 2022 to consider the proposal for issuance of bonus shares, subject to requisite approvals,” AU Small Finance Bank said in an exchange filing.
