Reliance Retail, a unit of Indian oil-to-chemicals conglomerate Reliance Industries, plans to enter the salon business and is in final stages to buy a roughly 49% stake in Naturals Salon & Spa, the Economic Times newspaper reported on Friday.

However, Naturals' Chief Executive CK Kumaravel said "the talks are at a nascent stage," according to the report, which cited executives aware of the development.

India’s most valuable start-up, online-education giant Byju’s, is finalising plans for a $1-billion initial public offering of its tutoring business Aakash Educational Services, according to people familiar with the matter.

The company is in talks with at least four foreign banks— JPMorgan Chase & Co, Citigroup Inc, Goldman Sachs Group Inc, and Morgan Stanley, as well as Indian banks, including Kotak Mahindra Bank and Axis Bank, as it seeks arrangers for the listing, said one of the people, who asked not to be named discussing confidential conversations. Vedanta Resources, the holding company of India’s Vedanta Limited, on November 7 terminated the Moody’s rating services after the latter downgraded the company’s ratings amid debt concerns, the Economic Times reported.

“Vedanta Resources Limited hereby announces that it has today given notice to Moody’s Investor Services to discontinue its rating engagement and to withdraw all the outstanding ratings.” Vedanta said in a statement today.
