State-owned power giant NTPC on Saturday announced the beginning of commercial operation of the first part capacity of 20 MW out of 56 MW Kawas Solar PV Project in Gujarat.

"Consequent upon successful commissioning, the first part capacity of 20 MW out of 56 MW Kawas Solar PV Project at Kawas, Gujarat, is declared on Commercial Operation from 00:00 Hrs of May 14, 2022," a BSE filing said.

A Delhi court has granted bail to Dheeraj Rajesh Wadhawan and Kapil Rajesh Wadhawan, ex-promoters of Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd (DHFL) in the alleged multi crore scam case.

The Additional Sessions Judge Reetesh Singh while granting bail on Friday (May 13) said, "in the present case as well, the applicant/accused persons- Kapil Rajesh Wadhawan and Dheeraj Rajesh Wadhawan were not arrested during the investigation.

The Indian Space Research Organisation on Monday successfully completed the static test of a human-rated solid rocket booster (HS200) for the Gaganyaan programme at Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.

The HS200 is the human-rated version of the S200 rocket booster of satellite launch vehicle GSLV Mk III, popularly known as LVM3, the Bengaluru-headquartered space agency noted in a statement.

Union Bank of India on Friday reported over 8 per cent rise in standalone net profit at Rs 1,440 crore for the quarter ended March 2022.

The lender had logged a net profit of Rs 1,330 crore in the same quarter of previous fiscal year.

Total income rose to Rs 20,417.44 crore during January-March 2021-22 as against Rs 19,804.91 crore in the year-ago period, the bank said in a regulatory filing.

Private sector Bandhan Bank on Friday reported a multi-fold jump in its net profit at Rs 1,902.30 crore in the quarter ended March 2022.

The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 103 crore in the year-ago quarter.

Total income of the bank in Q4FY22 rose by 43 per cent to Rs 3,504.2 crore, as against Rs 2,457.4 crore in the same period of FY21, Bandhan Bank said in a regulatory filing.
