Short-seller Hindenburg Research said on Wednesday it holds short positions in India's Adani Group companies through U.S.-traded bonds and non-Indian-traded derivative instruments.

The seven listed companies of the Adani group, which is controlled by world's third richest man Gautam Adani, have an 85% downside on a fundamental basis due to sky-high valuations, Hindenburg said in the report.

Blackstone is in talks to sell around half of its stake in India's largest real estate investment trust Embassy Office Parks to private equity firm Bain Capital, two sources said, in a deal worth up to $480 million at current prices.

A deal would mark US-based Bain's first REIT investment in India where office space is drawing in investors as many workers have returned to offices with the waning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Indian commercial vehicle maker Tata Motors has started reducing discounts it offers on trucks to protect the margins, a report by The Economic Times said. With fewer discounts, the company has kept the maximum retail price constant, leading to an increase in the effective market operating price.

Tata Motors on Monday said it has partnered with ICICI Bank to offer financing solutions to its authorised passenger electric vehicle dealers.

Under the partnership, ICICI Bank will provide inventory funding to the authorised passenger EV dealers in addition to the bank's funding to dealers for diesel and petrol models, Tata Motors said in a statement.

Sterlite Power on Monday said it has bagged orders worth Rs 3,800 crore in the first three quarters of this fiscal, which is 90 per cent higher than a year ago.
