Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday welcomed Nasa astronauts Sunita ‘Suni’ Williams and Barry ‘Butch’ Willmore on their return to Earth after nine months in space. PM Modi lauded Williams, who is of Indian origin from her father's side, calling her a "trailblazer" and an "icon."

The Prime Minister shared a post on X, featuring a picture of him and Sunita Williams with her father.

Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed on Tuesday (March 18) to a proposal by US President Donald Trump for Russia and Ukraine to stop hitting each other's energy infrastructure for 30 days and gave a corresponding order to the Russian military, the Kremlin said.
