The Delhi High Court on Thursday reserved its order on petitions filed by Go First's lessors against the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for the release of their aircraft currently in the possession of the cash-strapped airline.
The DGCA had told the high court earlier it had not rejected the application of Go First’s lessors for deregistering the aircraft but had kept the process (of deregistration) in abeyance because of the moratorium. A moratorium period is the suspension of all or certain legal remedies against debtor(in this case Go First).

An agreement between Adani Roads — a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises — to acquire the road portfolio from Macquarie Asia Infrastructure Fund (MAIF) for Rs 3,110 crore was terminated by the Adani group, the company said in a regulatory filing on Thursday.
Adani Enterprises said it had earlier announced a plan in August 2022 to acquire 100 per cent stake in Swarna Tollway Private (STPL) and 56.8 per cent stake in Gujarat Road and Infrastructure Company.

P Sarath Reddy, director of Aurobindo Pharma, has turned approver in the Delhi excise case after a Rouse Avenue court on Thursday accepted the Enforcement Directorate's plea to pardon him, a report by The Hindu Businessline said. ED said that Reddy will voluntarily disclose all the irregularities in making and implementing the liquor policy in Delhi.
According to ED, Reddy was a part of the "South Group" that had allegedly paid Rs 100 crore to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which was used to fund its Goa elections. He was arrested in November last year and granted bail by the Delhi High Court last month.

Instant messaging platform WhatsApp on Thursday said it banned over 7.4 million Indian accounts in April — around a 60 per cent increase month-on-month — due to possible user harm activities such as online abuse.
The popular messenger app has recently come under scrutiny over increasing spam calls from international numbers. The platform has taken down 7,452,500 Indian accounts, out of which 2,469,700 were proactively banned, before any reports from users. In March, the company had taken down around 4.7 million Indian accounts.

L&T Construction will create renewable energy infrastructure for the world’s largest green hydrogen plant at NEOM, the company said in a BSE filing.
L&T will engineer, procure, and construct a 2.2 GWac PV solar plant, 1.65 GW wind generation balance of plant and a 400 MWh battery energy storage system at Oxagon in Saudi Arabia’s region of NEOM.

In New Delhi, the price of commercial gas has been reduced by Rs 83.5, now standing at Rs 1773. Last month, it was priced at Rs 1856.50 per cylinder.

Shares of Coal India (CIL) slipped 5 per cent to Rs 229.65 on the BSE in Thursday's intra-day trade as the government began offloading its 3 per cent stake, using the offer for sale (OFS) mechanism, starting today.
The floor price for the stake sale has been set at Rs 225 a share, which represents a discount of around 7 per cent from the closing price of Rs 241.2 on Wednesday. In the past two months, the stock had rallied 13 per cent till Wednesday.
