The Indian government is evaluating the economic impact of a 27 per cent reciprocal tariff imposed by the United States, a senior official from the commerce ministry confirmed with PTI on Thursday. The move, announced by US President Donald Trump, is part of a broader tariff policy targeting countries that impose higher duties on American exports.

The Supreme Court on Thursday reserved its verdict on pleas raising the issue of alleged delay by the Telangana Assembly speaker in deciding on petitions seeking disqualification of some BRS MLAs who had defected to the Congress.

Congress MP K Suresh on Wednesday said that the INDIA bloc is against the Waqf Amendment Bill and will oppose it in the parliament.
