Valiant Laboratories made a good debut on the bourses, with shares of commodity chemicals company listed at Rs 162.15, a 16 per cent premium to the issue price of Rs 140 per share on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Friday. The stock listed at Rs 161, a 15 per cent premium to its issue price on the BSE.
Post listing, at 10:03 AM; shares of Valiant Labs were locked at the 5 per cent upper circuit at Rs 170.25, up 22 per cent over its issue price.

The toll in the flash flood in Sikkim mounted to 21 on Friday as Army and NDRF teams worked their way through slushy earth and fast flowing water in the Teesta river basin and downstream north Bengal for the third day in search of those who were swept away and are still missing, officials said.
Of the 23 army personnel who were missing from Burdang area, the bodies of seven have been recovered from different areas downstream while one was rescued and the search is on for 15 missing jawans, Chief Minister P S Tamang said.

The lawyer for the Enforcement Directorate has said that Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has requested one week time to appear before the ED regarding the summon issued to him in connection with the Mahadev betting app case.
Speaking to ANI, ED lawyer Saurabh Pandey said, Mahadev app is a betting portal and it is a case of money laundering. Raipur ED office started the probe and four people were arrested. As the probe proceeded further, the names of many people came to light, and we issued summons to a few people.

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is scheduled to visit poll-bound Madhya Pradesh on Thursday, marking her third visit to the state in recent months.
The Congress leader is set to address a public rally at Mohankheda in Dhar district. On Wednesday, All India Congress Committee spokesman Surendra Rajput informed reporters in Bhopal that both Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Madhya Pradesh Congress president Kamal Nath will speak at the gathering in Mohankheda after visiting the Jain shrine located there.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) may stand accused by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam after the Supreme Court (SC) questioned their involvement on Wednesday, according to media reports.
The SC asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and ED on why AAP had not been made an accused in the case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), despite allegedly being a beneficiary of the scam. This occurred during a plea hearing of AAP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) is set to launch the "CM's Breakfast Scheme" in all government-run schools in the state on October 6, as reported by Telangana Today. The formal launch will take place in the Rangareddy district, while local leaders will inaugurate the scheme simultaneously in other districts across the state.
The state's Chief Secretary, Santhi Kumari, conducted a review meeting on Tuesday, September 3, with all the District Collectors in Telangana to assess the preparations for the scheme's launch.

Indus Towers has informed the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) that it may limit services to Vodafone Idea (Vi) due to mounting receivables, as reported by The Economic Times. The company has also criticised Vi for its "wilful and continuous" failure to meet payment obligations.
As of September 30, Vi is in debt to Indus Towers to the tune of Rs 7,864.5 crore.

The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved a hike of Rs 100 in cooking gas subsidy under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY). The scheme currently provides poor households a targeted subsidy of Rs 200 per cylinder of liquified petroleum gas (LPG) . The PMUY beneficiaries will now get a subsidy of Rs 300 per LPG cylinder on market price.
As a result, PMUY beneficiaries in Delhi will now pay Rs 603 for every 14.2-kg LPG cylinder against the market price of Rs 903.

HDFC Bank disbursed home loans worth Rs 48,000 crore in July-September, representing 14 per cent growth sequentially and 10.5% growth over the year-ago period on erstwhile HDFC’s loan book. July-September was the bank’s first quarter after merging with mortgage financier HDFC Ltd. HDFC Bank did not sell home loans earlier, but acted as a distribution agent for HDFC.
“Home loan disbursals during the first quarter post-merger were the best ever at Rs 480 billion. This is a growth of 14.0% over the quarter ending June 30, 2023, and a growth of 10.5% over the quarter ending September 30, 2022,” said HDFC Bank in a notification to the exchanges.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced on Wednesday that its Power Transmission & Distribution business has secured an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) order from West Bengal Power Development Corporation Limited. The order is for setting up wet Flue Gas Desulphurisation (FGD) systems at its thermal power plant located in Sagardighi, West Bengal.
The project features include three FGD absorbers catering to four thermal power units (2x300 MW, 2x500 MW).
