Students who have cleared 10+2 with physics, chemistry and mathematics as their core will still have the option to pursue National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET (UG). According to the latest guidelines by the National Medical Commission (NMC), students must pass a biology or biotechnology exam as an additional subject on the 10+2 level from any recognised board.

Shares of Honasa Consumer hit a new high at Rs 422.50, as they zoomed 20 per cent on the BSE in Friday’s intra-day trade after the company reported a strong 93 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase in its net profit to Rs 29.4 crore for the quarter ended September (Q2FY24).
The parent firm of direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands like Mamaearth, The Derma Co, and BBlunt, had recorded a loss of Rs 15 crore in the year ago period. Profit in the previous quarter (Q1FY24) was Rs 24.7 crore.

Jio Financial Services has submitted an application to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for converting the company into a core investment company (CIC) from a non-banking financial company (NBFC), the firm informed the exchanges.
According to the exchange notification, This is to inform that as mandated by the Reserve Bank of India (while granting its approval for change in the shareholding pattern and control of the company pursuant to the demerger of the Financial Services Business from Reliance Industries Limited into the Company).

Air quality in Delhi slipped into the "severe category" on Wednesday, from the "very poor" category a day earlier, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). The National Capital experienced "very poor" air quality on Tuesday, with an air quality index (AQI) of 323.
According to the CPCB, the Air Quality Index (AQI) at Anand Vihar stood at 405, and in Jahangirpuri, it was recorded at 428. In Dwarka Sector 8, AQI stood at 403. AQI in Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium was recorded at 404.

The income tax (I-T) department has discovered tax evasion of about Rs 10,000 crore over three years, The Economic Times (ET) reported. The evasion is reported to have been done by online retailers selling products via social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. The I-T department has sent notices to 45 brands operating across the country, the report said. Other companies will likely be sent similar notices soon. The said companies were either not paying their taxes or had underreported their incomes, according to The Economic Times.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a showcause notice of Rs 9,362 crore to Think & Learn, the company behind Byju's education platform, and its founder Byju Raveendran for alleged violations of forex rules while attracting foreign investments from 2011 to 2023.
The central probe agency has charged them with contravening forex provisions, as per an order issued by the adjudicating authority of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (Fema).

The price of 24-carat gold jumped Rs 380 in early trade on Wednesday, with ten grams of the precious metal selling for Rs 62,020, according to the GoodReturns website. The price of silver also jumped Rs 400, with one kilogram of the precious metal selling at Rs 76,400.

A parliamentary panel has held that the Hindi names given to the three proposed criminal laws is not unconstitutional, dismissing criticism against the move by some political parties and their leaders.
